During a working visit to the Turkestan Region, Israel's national water company «Mekorot» addressed issues of efficient water resources management, infrastructure development, and digital transformation.
The Turkestan Region plans to digitalize services for 351,660 subscribers and ensure 100% access to drinking water during 2025–2028.
It should be noted that Mekorot has been responsible for managing Israel’s water resources since 1937. The company’s President, D. Soffer, provided a detailed overview of Mekorot’s key areas of activity and highlighted the projects being implemented in Kazakhstan.
As a result of the meeting, possibilities for the joint implementation of projects are under consideration.
The strategic importance of the negotiations lies in the development of the region’s water sector through the use of modern technologies and in ensuring the population’s access to high-quality drinking water.
