Robust Transport and Communication Infrastructure

Kazakhstan has 24 airports (72 air corridors). The capital, Astana, operates 126 international and 289 domestic flights to major global financial centers such as Frankfurt, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Seoul. Direct flights to over 55 international destinations depart weekly from Almaty International Airport.
70% of all overland transit transportation between China and Europe passes through Kazakhstan, while overland transport is three times faster than maritime transport (14 days by rail compared to 40 days by sea).

The seaports of Aktau and Kuryk have a combined capacity of 27 million tonnes. Developed port infrastructure in other countries includes Batumi (Georgia) and a logistics terminal at the Pacific port of Lianyungang (China).
