The first meeting of the Regional Investment Headquarters in 2025 was held under the chairmanship of Akim of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kosherov. The meeting reviewed the status of 15 projects being implemented in the region and discussed topical issues. The akim of the region instructed the heads of responsible departments and akims of districts and cities to strengthen their efforts to attract investments.

The President of the Republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has set tasks for diversifying the economy, increasing the gross domestic product, developing the region, and improving the welfare of the people. It is essential to implement the President's and the Government’s directives at a high level. To develop the region, we will prioritize boosting production, attracting investment, and creating jobs. I instruct the district and city governors, as well as heads of departments, to perform their functional duties efficiently and achieve positive results in their work. Additionally, developing the agro-industrial complex, implementing water-saving technologies, reducing water-intensive crops, and increasing the area under drought-resistant crops is a necessity of the time. The improvement of infrastructure and the quality of construction works will remain a top priority,” said Nuralhan Kosherov. At the meeting of the investment headquarters, the appeals of investors and entrepreneurs, as well as the progress of the implementation of investment projects were discussed. In addition, a combined-cycle gas plant, a slaughterhouse and a feedlot will be implemented in Sairam, as well as gas production projects in Sozak. A modern brick factory and a factory for the production of aluminum products are being intensively built in Ordabasi district. Factories for the production of engineering equipment and industrial water valves will be built in the Savransky district. The construction of the largest greenhouse in the country continues in Kelessky district. It should be noted that last year the volume of investments in fixed assets in the Turkestan region amounted to 1,334.9 billion tenge, which is 1.4 times more than planned. A pool of 145 investment projects has been formed, giving a new impetus to the development of the economy, including the priority development of deep processing of agriculture. It is planned to open new factories and increase the number of jobs in the region in the near future.
