GREENHOUSE COMPLEX PROJECT WITH 42 BILLION TENGE INVESTMENT IN TURKESTAN INCREASES PRODUCTION VOLUMES

A major investment project, Ecoculture-Eurasia, is being implemented in phases in the Turkestan Region. The modern greenhouse complex is aimed at increasing domestic vegetable production, replacing imports, and developing technology-intensive agricultural production.

As part of the first phase of the project, a high-yield tomato variety, Climon F1, was grown on an area of 6.25 hectares, producing 2,000 tonnes of tomatoes.

The facility uses a drip irrigation system and modern agricultural technologies that enable the efficient use of water and energy resources.

Construction of the greenhouse complex is currently underway. An additional 37.5 hectares of greenhouses are planned to be commissioned in autumn 2026. As a result, by the end of the year the total area of production facilities under the first phase is expected to reach 50 hectares.

The first phase of the project has attracted 42 billion tenge in investment. To date, 130 permanent jobs have been created. Once the complex reaches its designed capacity more than 1,000 jobs are expected to be created.

At full capacity, the project will have an annual production capacity of 27,000 tonnes of tomatoes. This will increase the supply of domestically produced vegetables on the domestic market and reduce dependence on imports, particularly during the off-season.

The Ecoculture-Eurasia project makes a significant contribution to the technological modernization of the agro-industrial sector in the Turkestan Region and to increasing investment activity in the region. The project is designed to strengthen the region’s agricultural potential through the introduction of modern agricultural technologies, efficient use of production resources, and the creation of permanent jobs.

In addition, the full-scale launch of the facility will bring greenhouse production in Kazakhstan to a new technological level, strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic agro-industrial sector and expand its production capacity.
