Efforts to attract investments to the Turkistan region and establish new manufacturing enterprises are actively ongoing. Following the directive of the Akim of Turkistan Region, Darkhan Satybaldy, and with the support of the Regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry and TОО “Turkistan Invest,” a delegation from Turkistan Region, consisting of entrepreneurs from Turkistan city, Ordabasy, and Sayram districts, visited the Republic of Turkey on a working trip.
The primary goal of the visit was to attract investments to the region, strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and exchange experiences with local entrepreneurs. The visit began with a tour of enterprises in Istanbul. During the trip, the Akim of Turkistan city, Azimbek Pazylbekuly, signed a memorandum of cooperation with a company specializing in producing paints for buildings and roads.
During the initial days of the visit, the delegation held business meetings with company representatives in Istanbul and Kocaeli. The delegation visited a confectionery production facility, a gelatin manufacturing plant, and a transformer equipment factory in Kocaeli. To facilitate collaboration with these companies, the Akim of Ordabasy district signed a memorandum of cooperation. The company leaders expressed their intention to visit Turkistan with a return delegation. Additionally, the delegation met with Mr. Merey Mukazhan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States.
During the visit, the representatives of Turkistan Region also toured several world-class manufacturing facilities and signed cooperation agreements with two major plants producing sanitary and household goods, as well as a carpet factory. Discussions were held regarding the organization of the Kazakhstan-Turkey Investment Business Forum, scheduled for March next year. In the city of Gebze, the delegation studied the operations of leading light industry factories and visited their warehouses. Among them was a facility fully automated with artificial intelligence systems. The delegation also explored one of Turkey's most popular and widely used electronic platforms. As a result of these meetings, specific agreements were reached, and the implementation of projects is set to begin next year. This visit is expected to elevate economic relations between Turkistan Region and Turkey to a new level, serving as a foundation for the realization of several key projects that will drive the development of the region.
