Akim of the Turkestan region, Darkhan Satybaldy, convened a meeting with a foreign investor to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, advancing furniture production, and establishing a joint venture.
«Welcome to Turkestan, the capital of the Turkic world. I am genuinely pleased to see you here in our region. As you are aware, from July 6 to July 13 of this year, we embarked on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China. During our stay, we met with the governors of three provinces to discuss ways to strengthen trade and economic ties between our nations, culminating in the signing of several memoranda. These negotiations are now evolving into tangible actions. In our region, a furniture cluster is rapidly taking shape, with over 100 enterprises currently operating in the sector. The largest of these companies export their products to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. We have extended this special invitation to you to implement a joint project, and we are committed to supporting the creation of a new enterprise. Our aim is to generate employment, boost domestic production, and ensure our country is supplied with homegrown products,» said Darkhan Satybaldy.
The investor expressed familiarity with the Turkestan region’s potential in furniture manufacturing and conveyed a strong willingness to move forward with the project in the near future.
Omar Baktykereyev, Director of AKNIET HOLDING LLP, confirmed that an agreement had been reached with the investor, and the project had been thoroughly discussed. A large furniture factory is set to be established in the region soon, creating 200 new jobs. The products manufactured in the Turkestan region will not only serve the domestic market but will also be exported abroad. Specialized machinery and equipment will be procured to support this venture.
