In the Ordabasy District of the Turkestan Region, the foundation stone was laid for the QAGAZPROM LLP plant, which will process waste paper and cardboard. The ceremony was attended by Turkestan Region Governor Nuralhan Kosherov.

Key project highlights:

• Investment: KZT 1 billion.
• Area: 5 hectares.
• Production capacity: 5,875 tons per year (190,000 units of finished products per day, including egg trays, cup holders, and shoe cardboard).
• Jobs: 20 new jobs.
• Target markets: 70% of the products will be supplied to the domestic market, while 30% will be exported.

The plant will contribute to the development of an environmental culture through the efficient recycling of waste, while also establishing the production of import-substituting goods. Preparatory work is currently underway at the site. By the end of the year, the construction of a sandwich-panel building and the delivery of the necessary equipment from China are planned.
