In the Sauran district of the Turkestan region a project to construct a 300 MW photovoltaic power plant with an energy storage system is being actively implemented. The project aims to develop the region’s energy infrastructure and increase the share of green energy.

In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the Turkestan region K. Kaiypbek with representatives of Sauran Solar Power LLP and an international energy holding.

The meeting was attended by heads of regional departments and authorized government bodies. In particular, sector-specific issues related to the project were discussed, necessary clarifications were provided and mechanisms for institutional support of its implementation were considered.

The parties thoroughly discussed issues of connection to the power grid, development of local infrastructure, and effective interaction with government authorities.

Following the meeting, the Deputy Akim instructed the responsible government bodies and organizations to promptly address current issues arising during the project implementation. The proposals voiced by investors received support, and further areas of work were defined. An agreement was also reached on joint and systematic cooperation to ensure high-quality implementation of the project within the established timeframe.
