There is positive growth in the socio-economic development of Turkestan city. Last year, the total regional product of the regional center amounted to 421.7 billion tenge. The number of production facilities in Turkestan city is increasing. Currently, a Special Economic Zone occupies 180 hectares of land in the city. Additionally, an Industrial Zone has been launched on 190 hectares. In this zone, 21 projects worth 10.5 billion tenge have been implemented. As a result, nearly a thousand new jobs have been created. In the future, 19 more projects are planned, including projects for manufacturing concrete products, producing doors, bitumen production, soft furniture manufacturing, and lime production. Employment measures for the population in the regional center are also being carried out actively. In 2024, more than 10,000 new jobs were created, and the plan was fulfilled by 116.2%. Work on providing housing for residents will continue. Last year, 961 apartments were put into operation, and this year, 944 apartments are planned to be handed over to the people. The efforts to develop Turkestan city will continue.
