In the city of Turkestan «QazEcoPack» LLP has launched the first phase of its production of polyethylene packaging and adhesive tape. The project is being implemented within the «TURAN» special economic zone.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Turkestan region N. Kusherov who highlighted the project’s contribution to diversifying the regional economy, developing the processing industry and creating new jobs. He also wished the company’s team success in their work.
The founder and plant director Duman Khalmet expressed gratitude to the regional administration for their support of the investment project and particularly emphasized the opportunities provided by the special economic zone.
The project is being implemented in 3 stages:
Phase I (current) – production of 1 500 000 units of adhesive tape per year. Products are supplied to the markets of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. So far, 20 new jobs have been created.
Phase II (planned for December 2026) – production of 350 000 kg of stretch film and 80 000 units of bubble wrap per year.
Phase III (planned for 2027) – production of 500 000 kg of polyethylene products per year.
The total investment in the project amounts to 1,21 billion tenge.
The first production building covering 1 440 m² is already operational. In the future, 4 additional buildings covering 5 760 m² will be constructed.
The project aims to strengthen the region’s industrial capacity, reduce imports and increase the share of locally processed products.
