Investment projects aimed at developing aqua tourism and creating a modern fisheries cluster are being implemented in the Turkestan region.

The regional Governor N. Kusherov visited the Shaga rural district where he met with an investor and discussed the progress of the projects. Currently, landscaping work is underway at the “Shaga” reservoir, and the construction phase has begun.

The aqua tourism project is initiated by «GOLD FISH TURKISTAN» LLP.
The project is valued at 1.5 billion tenge and covers an area of 8 hectares. The complex will be able to host up to 100 000 tourists per season. It is scheduled to launch this year and will create 25 jobs.

In addition, a project to develop a modern fisheries cluster is being implemented. The land plot has been allocated through the Social Entrepreneurial Corporation (SEC). The investment volume is 1 billion tenge. Full project commissioning is expected in 2027, with a planned production capacity of 300-400 tons of fish per year. A total of 20 new jobs will be created.

After the completion of these projects, a new economic cluster combining tourism and fisheries will be formed in the region. The plans also include the construction of hotels and the development of beach tourism.
