MAKTAARAL DISTRICT ENTERS A NEW ERA OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

Maktaaral District in the Turkestan Region is steadily emerging as a hub for industrial and investment growth. With the support of regional and district authorities, efforts are actively underway to attract investment and establish new enterprises.

By the end of 2025, the district’s industrial output reached KZT 24.6 billion, marking a 21.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Last year KZT 56.4 billion in investments were attracted to the district’s economy, exceeding the planned target by KZT 5.4 billion. This reflects the successful implementation of concrete industrial projects.

The district hosts an industrial zone spanning 28.2 hectares, with KZT 5.16 billion already invested. Free land plots and the necessary infrastructure are available for investors. Currently, new facilities are being launched in cotton processing, construction materials, light industry, and the food sector, establishing integrated production chains.

Additionally, a 100-hectare special economic zone has been established in the Zhambyl rural district. Half of this area has been allocated to the “Central Asia” International Center focused on industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. On the remaining land 7 major projects with a total value of KZT 185.1 billion are planned, creating 1,200 new jobs. The projects will be launched in phases through 2029.

In summary, Maktaaral is a territory with developed infrastructure, a growing industrial base, and strong government support, open and ready for new investments.
