In the Keles District of the Turkestan Region, construction is underway on the country’s largest industrial greenhouse complex, “Ecoculture-Eurasia.” The project is being implemented on a 51-hectare site in the Aktobe rural district.
The Governor of the Turkestan Region N. Kusherov met with A. Dautov the founder of Ecoculture-Eurasia LLP. During the meeting, they discussed the project’s launch and reviewed the progress of ongoing work.
The project involves an investment of 42 billion tenge, with financing approved by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC. The greenhouse complex is expected to produce 25,000 tons of tomatoes annually. Once fully operational, the facility will create 800 new jobs, providing year-round stable employment for the local population.
All equipment has been supplied from the Netherlands, and the infrastructure meets modern standards. Currently, metal structures for the greenhouse blocks have been installed on 40 hectares of the complex. Out of eight greenhouse blocks, four blocks and the technical corridor are already operational. Construction and installation work is ongoing, with the official opening scheduled for spring.
The project has significant social impact: local specialists will receive training to enhance their skills, and young professionals will be sent to Russia for experience exchange. In addition, a phased expansion of the greenhouse complex to 500 hectares is planned.
The Governor of the region noted that a small industrial park is being constructed in the Keles District, with facilities planned for packaging, processing, and preserving products. This will help reduce logistics costs and provide a boost to the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
Overall, the «Ecoculture-Eurasia» project is a socially responsible, long-term initiative aimed at developing the Turkestan region’s agro-industrial potential.
