Pursuant to the directive of the Akim of Turkestan Region, Darkhan Satybaldy, a delegation headed by First Deputy Akim Zulpikhar Zholdasov embarked on a visit to the People’s Republic of China, where they engaged in substantial dialogues with representatives from both the business sector and government authorities.
During the visit, Zulpikhar Zholdasov held talks with Qiao Chen, the Deputy General Director of Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Group. The primary focus of these discussions was on attracting investments to the Turkestan region, expanding the capacity of Turkestan International Airport, launching international flights, and advancing intergovernmental agreements in the tourism sector.
Henan Province, which boasts a population of 100 million, is expected to host 120 million tourists from both China and abroad this year. Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co. Ltd (HNCA Group), responsible for driving the development of Henan’s aviation sector and modernizing aviation enterprises, also manages the development of Zhengzhou Airport.
The company is deeply involved in the «One Belt, One Road» initiatives, which focus on bolstering aviation logistics and streamlining related industries. The meetings underscored the critical importance of fostering close cooperation between regions in areas such as economy, culture, and tourism.
China ranks among the top five investors in Kazakhstan’s economy, and the partnership with Turkestan Region is pivotal in enhancing these relations.
Recently, Akim Darkhan Satybaldy of Turkestan Region has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Henan Province, signaling a new chapter in regional collaboration. Turkestan’s rich tourism resources offer substantial potential for growth, making these partnerships especially significant.
