A working group comprising representatives of the Government of Turkestan Region and the Migration Police Department of the regional Police Department visited major enterprises implementing investment projects in the region and conducted awareness-raising activities on issues related to the employment of foreign nationals and compliance with migration legislation.
Enterprise managers and responsible employees were briefed on the procedure for obtaining permits to employ foreign nationals, applying for C3 work visas, obtaining Individual Identification Numbers (IINs), timely renewal of permits and other authorization documents, as well as maintaining migration records for foreign workers.
Particular attention was also paid to the registration of employment contracts in the E-Shrabzh system, compliance with established quotas, and maintaining the required ratio between Kazakhstani and foreign employees.
During the visits open question-and-answer sessions were held, allowing enterprise representatives to receive specific clarifications on issues of concern to them. Recommendations were also provided on processing documents for foreign specialists in accordance with legal requirements and ensuring compliance with the permitted periods of stay in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the working group explained mechanisms for protecting investors’ rights, preventing unjustified interference in business activities, and jointly resolving emerging issues with government authorities.
Following the meetings, the enterprises’ responsible employees were provided with legal guidance on resolving the identified issues in accordance with the requirements of current legislation. The parties agreed to continue cooperation with government authorities.
