Turkestan Region continues to actively implement investment projects, launch new manufacturing facilities, and create new jobs. These efforts are being carried out in line with the instructions of the Head of State Qassym-Jomart Tokayev aimed at strengthening the investment potential of the country's regions.
During a meeting chaired by the Governor of Turkestan Region N. Kusherov participants reviewed the progress of ongoing investment projects and discussed the development prospects of the TURAN Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Currently, the TURAN SEZ has 140 registered investment projects with a total value of KZT 1.263 trillion. Upon full implementation, these projects are expected to create more than 13,000 new jobs. To date, 58 projects have already been commissioned, generating 3,243 permanent jobs.
The Head of the Region emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of investment projects. According to him, every project represents a significant contribution to the region's economic development. Therefore, construction delays are unacceptable, and investors who fail to fulfill their obligations will be held accountable in accordance with the applicable legislation.
In addition, work continues on the development of the industrial zones in the city of Turkestan, Sauran District, the city of Kentau, as well as the Central Asia International Industrial Cooperation Center. Particular attention is being paid to upgrading engineering infrastructure and commissioning new production facilities.
Efforts to foster a favorable investment climate, develop infrastructure, and provide comprehensive support to investors will continue on a systematic basis.
