An official and business delegation from the Turkestan Region during a working visit to China, held a series of important meetings in the city of Wuhan — the administrative center of Hubei Province and presented the region’s investment potential. The business trip and meeting program was organized under the coordination of the Agency for Investment Attraction and Export Development “Turkistan Invest.” The regional agency systematically works to establish connections with foreign investors, support promising projects, and promote the region’s investment opportunities at the international level.
As a result of the negotiations, a pool of new investment projects that could be implemented in the Turkestan Region was formed. Promising areas of cooperation were identified in the fields of industry, construction, transport and logistics, the agro-industrial complex, tourism and infrastructure.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with leading Chinese investors and representatives of the Hubei Provincial Association for International Business Cooperation, where issues related to the implementation of joint projects were discussed. Chinese companies showed strong interest in the region’s production and logistics capabilities and presented their investment proposals.
In particular, projects to launch steel structure production in the Turkestan Region are under consideration. This initiative would help increase the region’s industrial potential and create new production capacities.
During the meetings, investors were presented with the region’s favorable geographic location, proximity to international transport corridors, opportunities within special economic and industrial zones and government support measures.
Today, 17 investment projects with Chinese capital have been implemented in the Turkestan Region, totaling 148 billion tenge. The established partnership contributes to attracting new investments to the region and strengthening international economic ties.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to further expand investment cooperation, develop specific projects and strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.
