This was announced by the Akim of Turkistan Region, Darkhan Satybaldy, during a press conference on the socio-economic development of the region held at the Central Communications Service platform.
– Turkistan Region is Kazakhstan's leader in meat exports. Our region accounts for 80% of exported beef, which amounts to 6,900 tons, and 75% of exported lamb, totaling 4,700 tons. We plan to adopt Australia's experience in developing a meat cluster. As part of this initiative, five projects will be implemented, including the establishment of a modern livestock exchange, feedlots, and advanced meat processing facilities. The total investment for these projects will amount to 55 billion tenge, creating 600 jobs and producing 35,000 tons of products, – stated Darkhan Satybaldy.
Additionally, two large-scale dairy farm projects have been implemented in the region to increase milk production and enhance the capacity of processing enterprises. These projects will produce 12,600 tons of milk annually, with a total investment of 7.8 billion tenge.
