As part of the Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan: Joint Projects and New Growth Opportunities Business Dialogue held in the city of Aktau, the Turkestan Region achieved significant results in expanding investment cooperation.

During the forum, business representatives from the Turkestan Region and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed investment memorandums totaling USD 78 million. The implementation of these agreements is aimed at strengthening the region's industrial capacity, increasing export volumes, and creating new jobs.

The agreements provide for the implementation of the following projects:

сonstruction of a metal processing plant with an investment of USD 47 million, which will manufacture corrugated steel sheets, metal pipes, sandwich panels, and light steel thin-walled structures (LSTS);

launch of a sunflower oil production plant with an investment of USD 2 million;

implementation of a USD 5 million project focused on exporting deep-processed corn products;

expansion of the export capacity of a meat processing complex through a USD 12 million investment project;

establishment of a modern carp aquaculture complex with an investment of USD 12 million.

The forum also addressed key issues related to trade and economic cooperation, export partnerships, transport and logistics development, water security, and environmental collaboration. Representatives of government agencies, the business community, and international organizations exchanged experience and discussed prospects for further cooperation.

It is worth noting that the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the Turkestan Region's key strategic trade and economic partners. The newly signed investment agreements are expected to contribute to the sustainable development of the regional economy, increase industrial output, strengthen export potential, and elevate industrial cooperation to a new level.

The delegation of the Turkestan Region will also participate in the first meeting of the Council of Regional Leaders of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, where efforts to further enhance bilateral investment and economic cooperation will continue.
