In order to expand investment opportunities in the Turkestan Region, a working visit to the People’s Republic of China was organized by the investment attraction and export development agency “Turkistan Invest” operating under the regional government. During the trip, the regional governor N. Kusherov held a series of important negotiations with representatives of leading industrial and energy companies.

In particular, during a meeting with Kibing Group, the parties discussed a project to build a large-scale production complex for manufacturing float glass and processing quartz sand in the Turkestan Region. The project will enhance the region’s industrial potential and reduce import dependence. In addition, it will create new jobs and contribute to improving the professional skills of local personnel.

There was also a comprehensive discussion with China Energy on a project to construct a 1,500 MW wind power plant. This initiative aligns with the region’s renewable energy development strategy and is aimed at strengthening energy security.

In accordance with the Head of State’s instructions on the development of a “green economy” and renewable energy sources, the development of alternative energy in the Turkestan Region has been defined as a strategic priority. The region’s natural and climatic potential makes it possible to effectively implement wind and solar energy projects.

During the negotiations, investors highly appreciated the investment climate and resource potential of the Turkestan Region and expressed interest in long-term partnership.

The “Turkistan Invest” agency, with the support of the regional government will continue systematic work to develop international cooperation and attract and implement large-scale investment projects in the region.
