The Governor of Turkestan Region N. Kusherov held a meeting with the CEO of the Chinese company Shaanxi Silk Road City Holding Group Co., Ltd., Zhao Hui Yuan and representatives of its branch in Kazakhstan. During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of investment projects for the development of greenhouse farming, expansion of floriculture, and landscaping of the region were discussed.

The parties considered opportunities for introducing modern greenhouse technologies, growing ornamental plants and tree seedlings, as well as cooperation with local agricultural producers.

The regional governor noted that all submitted proposals will be thoroughly reviewed and promising projects will receive support from local authorities.

“We are ready to support projects that contribute to economic development and the creation of new jobs. The Turkestan Region has significant potential for the development of greenhouse farming,” said N. Kusherov.

Currently, the company has already begun a pilot planting of spray roses in the Saryagash District. If the project is successfully implemented, it is planned to expand its area to 20 hectares.

According to the investors, the flower products will be exported to Central Asian countries and Russia, where there is high demand.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue testing ornamental plants adapted to the climatic conditions of the region. If the pilot phase is successfully completed, the possibility of expanding the project will be considered.
