Governor of the Turkistan Region Nuralkhan Kusherov held a meeting with Xu Min Director of a foreign construction company, during which the parties discussed a project to establish a new industrial zone in the region.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the investors presented the development concept for the industrial zone, which includes the construction of bonded warehouses, manufacturing facilities, standalone industrial buildings, administrative and service centers, as well as engineering infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The total investment in the project is estimated at approximately US$30 million. Once implemented, the project is expected to accommodate around 42 enterprises and create up to 1,000 new jobs.<\/p>\n
The initiative will help expand industrial cooperation across Central Asia, increase cross-border trade and logistics, strengthen manufacturing capacity, and enhance the region\u2019s export and import potential. In addition, the project will contribute to the development of the Central Asia International Center for Industrial Cooperation, aimed at strengthening industrial ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
The project also \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0435\u0442 the phased development of a small and medium-sized business cluster, the enhancement of the border logistics hub\u2019s capacity, and the establishment of a manufacturing and logistics platform that will provide Chinese businesses with access to Central Asian markets.<\/p>\n
Company representatives confirmed their readiness to accelerate the optimization of project documentation, resolve financing issues, commence construction, and advance the project's commercial implementation.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the contracting company has extensive experience in the construction of highways, engineering infrastructure, and steel structures, as well as in the import and export of construction materials and the execution of finishing works.<\/p>\n
