As part of a working visit to China organized by the regional investment agency Turkistan Invest, the Governor of the Turkestan Region N. Kusherov held important negotiations in Yunnan Province, widely recognized as the capital of China\u2019s flower industry. During the visit, the regional leader met with Liu Junfeng - Chairman of the Kunming Flower Industry Chamber of Commerce, to discuss a project aimed at transforming Turkestan into Central Asia\u2019s leading flower hub.<\/p>\n

During the meetings, the region\u2019s transit and logistics potential was presented. Today, the Turkestan Region is Kazakhstan\u2019s leading agricultural area, home to 72% of the country\u2019s greenhouse facilities, covering a total area of 1,007 hectares.<\/p>\n

Following the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Kazakh farming enterprise AGRO TUR and its Chinese partners.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the establishment of a modern logistics hub and production facilities in Turkestan will enable the centralized handling of sales and export operations for local farmers\u2019 products.
