\"\"\"\"A delegation from the Turkestan Region led by Regional Governor N. Kusherov paid an official working visit to Kunming, People\u2019s Republic of China. The trip was organized by the regional investment promotion agency Turkistan Invest.<\/p>\n

The main objective of the visit, carried out in line with the instructions of President of Kazakhstan Qassym-Jomart Tokayev was to attract foreign direct investment and advanced technologies to the region, as well as to promote the development of the agro-industrial and tourism sectors.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the Governor held important negotiations with Chen Zuzhun, Chairman of Yunnan Construction & Investment Holding Group (YCIH), one of China\u2019s largest state-owned construction and infrastructure holding companies. The company is widely known in Kazakhstan for its involvement in the Astana LRT project.<\/p>\n

Today, the Turkestan Region is considered one of the most attractive destinations for investors, thanks to its strategic location along the Western Europe \u2013 Western China international transport corridor, an international airport with a capacity of up to 3 million passengers per year, 21 industrial zones and the TURKISTAN Special Economic Zone which offers a range of tax incentives.<\/p>\n
